Is your system actually production-ready?

Eight plain questions across the things that bite in production: reliability, observability, security, cost, scale, AI readiness and deploys. Get a score, a per-dimension breakdown, and the two or three fixes worth doing first. Takes about two minutes.

Question 1 / 80%
When production breaks at 2am, what happens?

How the score is built

Each answer carries weighted points from "we'd find out live" up to a mature, tested setup. We sum them and express your score as a percentage of the maximum, then map that to a band. Every dimension carries equal weight, so one strong area can't paper over a weak one.

It's a fast self-assessment, not an audit. It surfaces where the risk concentrates so you know what to look at first, which is exactly where a real audit would start digging.

0–44%At riskReal gaps to production-grade, the sort that surface as outages or surprise bills.
45–77%Getting thereSolid foundations; the risk now lives in the edges you haven't tested.
78–100%Production-readyMature and well-instrumented; the work is sharpening the long tail.

Questions & answers

What does the Production-Readiness Scorecard measure?
It is a short self-assessment across seven dimensions: reliability, observability, security, cost control, scalability, AI and LLM readiness, and CI/CD and deploys. You answer eight questions and it returns an overall score with the weakest areas to fix first.
How is the score calculated?
Each answer is worth 0 to 3 points, and the tool sums your points as a percentage of the maximum from the questions you answered. It bands the result into at risk below 45%, getting there from 45 to 77%, and production-ready at 78% and above.
Does it actually inspect my systems?
No. It scores your own answers and does not scan infrastructure, read logs, or verify that monitoring or SLOs are in place. It is a two-minute self-assessment, not an automated audit.
What if I do not ship any AI features?
The AI and LLM readiness question awards full marks when you do not ship AI, so it does not penalize non-AI systems. It only grades that dimension hard when you do run AI features without evals or monitoring.
Is my data sent anywhere when I take it?
The quiz and scoring run entirely in your browser. Nothing is sent unless you choose to submit your email through the lead form, which posts your email and score summary so someone can follow up.
